Aves Chloris chloris, commonly known as the European Greenfinch, is a small passerine bird belonging to the finch family, Fringillidae. In the Comunidad Valenciana, this bird is known locally as the Verderón común.
The European Greenfinch is easily recognizable by its vibrant green and yellow plumage, which is particularly striking in males. Females and juveniles tend to be more subdued in coloration, exhibiting a brownish-green hue.
- Size: The bird typically measures around 14-16 cm in length, with a wingspan of approximately 24-27 cm.
